Candidates must be willing to operate all automotive repair tools, have knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment, be willing to travel for training and communicate well with fellow technicians, service consultants, parts consultants and senior management.

Service Technician Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect service orders and discuss completion with advisors
- Deliver vehicles to the service center
- Complete routine maintenance and repair services according to factory standards within the specified time
- Perform basic maintenance and common repairs for primary automotive systems and components – oil changes, brakes, tires, batteries, essential fluid exchanges, etc.
- Keep advisors abreast of service progress, especially for new findings that can delay advised timelines
- Inventory parts according to policy
- Communicate with other departments/coworkers for efficient service completion
- Evaluate vehicle performance symptoms and inspect involved components to formulate accurate repair recommendations
- Review historical service records and submit current service data
- Attend training classes
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace
- Understand and comply with internal, state, and federal guidelines
